Even with the people you're close to, it can be hard to tell if someone is lying — and sometimes that might just be for the best. So what happens when a couple of BFFs take a polygraph or lie detector test? Well, this new BuzzFeed video is here to tell us.

Personally, I have no idea what would happen if you hooked me and a friend up to a lie detector — though since my best friend at this point is probably my sister, I suppose our relationship has survived worse. Especially that whole phase as children when we used minor slights as an excuse to throw hard objects at one another. Good times.

But it does make you think: If you could ask your best friend any yes or no question you wanted, and know for sure whether they were telling the truth, what would you ask? What would you want to know? What would you definitely not want to know? What if it turns out they secretly hate you? What if your entire friendship turns out to be based on a lie?

Of course actually, things are probably not that dramatic for most people. But here are some of the questions that these best friends chose to ask.
