How Did Jon Stewart Make Bill Cosby Cry?

If you needed any more proof that Bill Cosby is a delightful man, here you go: This clip of Bill Cosby on last night's The Daily Show With Jon Stewart should pretty much do it. Though Cosby appeared on the show to promote his upcoming Comedy Central special, "Bill Cosby: Far From Finished" — which, for the record, is the first stand-up special he's done in 30 years — they didn't actually spend much time talking about it.

Instead, Cosby relayed an anecdote to Stewart about a recent stand-up set they'd both participated in for a benefit, during which time he proceeded to (jokingly) chastise Jon Stewart for cursing during the set. "What you have you to understand, Jonathan: from whenst I cometh," (this man is amazing) "when people cursed, the next thing that was gonna happen was somebody was gonna hit you."

As Stewart laughed, Cosby continued: "See, now there’s a whole new culture. People curse and they laugh. But for me, when you were cursing, I started crying." Take note now, everyone: Every time you curse, an angel loses its wings, and Bill Cosby starts crying.

Stewart eventually joked that he hadn't been cursing, but rather speaking in Yiddish. Overall, it's a pretty cute appearance — Stewart's interviews are always the best when you can tell he legitimately likes the person he's interviewing (which is, in other words, everyone except Hugh Grant).
