Most Women Think About Hair & Makeup At This Time

by Jessica Willingham

The weekend has arrived, and it's time to get your brows on fleek for a night out. According to one study, women think about their beauty routine most at 3 p.m. on Fridays. It's the time when women, all around the world, begin their beauty routine in preparation for the weekend ahead.

Max Factor has just revealed the results of its Glamour Exposé, a study into the makeup habits of over 5,000 women aged between 18 and 50 years old around the globe. It revealed that the trending hashtag #GlamHour was very much a thing: on Friday at 3, women switch their focus to what hair and makeup looks they'll rock in the next 48 hours.

According to the study, most of us would like to switch up those looks to something new. A third of women around the world feel stuck in a makeup rut; as many as 88 percent of users in the UK regret being glued to an old beauty look. A third also admit to using the same products and techniques since high school.

The good news? Well, we're inspired and open to new looks. Max Factor global creative director Pat McGrath said that, “in our new connected world everyone has instant insider access to the transformative power of makeup; from Instagram images of backstage beauty looks to YouTube tutorials, there is now a multitude of ways to be inspired.”
