Women Still Aren't Safe From Losing Their Health Care

After a few weeks of controversial ups and downs, the House finally held a vote on the American Health Care Act, the bill meant to repeal and replace Obamacare. With the Congressional Budget Office informing the public that 24 million people would lose their health insurance if the AHCA were to pass, the Republicans behind the bill implemented some (very) quick changes, but that wasn't enough to keep Donald Trump from failing. Instead, Trump reportedly directed House Republicans to kill the bill…

Trump's Revised Travel Ban Has Been Halted

On Wednesday afternoon, a federal judge in Hawaii granted a temporary restraining order that effectively blocks President Trump's new travel ban nationwide, marking the second time that Trump has tried and failed to prevent travelers from certain countries from entering the United States. The block means that the ban, which was slated to begin Thursday, will not take effect. According to the ruling, which was given by U.S. Judge Derrick Watson, the state of Hawaii and Ismail Elshikh met the burd…

How To Read Trump's Tax Returns For Yourself

You'll notice something interesting about the president's tax returns that Rachel Maddow released Tuesday night. On the second page, there was a little stamp that read "Client Copy." But you'll want to read Trump's 2005 tax return and see if for yourself. Along with his wages for the year, it also lists his real estate amount, adjusted gross income, deductions, and, of course, taxes owed. The 1040 form from 2005 has been uploaded on MSNBC.com, and you can view it right here. The information was …

Read The New Travel Ban Executive Order In Full

"After continuous delays, President Trump signed a new executive order on immigration Monday afternoon. Despite concerns from the last time over whether the order was based on discrimination against Muslims, the new order still temporarily bans people from six Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States, though Iraq has been removed from the list of countries and there are changes in place regarding green card holders and Syrian refugees. If you'd like to see exactly what the order…

This Syrian Refugee's Oscars Appearance Is Vital

Gracing the red carpet on Sunday night at the Oscars was Hala Kamil, a Syrian refugee whose story is detailed in the documentary short Watani: My Homeland. Her story of her journey to the Oscars is as inspiring as it is devastating, and if it hadn't been for the halting of the Donald Trump's travel ban, she wouldn't have been able to attend. Filmmaker Marcel Mettelsiefen has been documenting Kamil since 2013 as she went from living in war-torn Aleppo with her husband and children to building a n…

The deadline had originally been set for 2 p.m. and was pushed back a couple of hours before police moved in. Many protesters had left before the deadline arrived so to not risk arrest, but there was still a large amount of people who stuck around to make one last stand. Last year, Obama halted the Dakota Access …

Here's What Trump Thought Happened In Sweden

In what quickly became a widely mocked moment, Donald Trump referenced on Saturday an incident in Sweden the night before that, well, never happened. What Donald Trump said about Sweden sparked ridicule for its complete lack of facts, and his clarification on what he actually meant didn't offer any comfort. "Here's the bottom line, we've got to keep our country safe," Trump said. "You look at what's happening. We've got to keep our country safe. You look at what's happening in Germany. You look …
