Christian Louboutin Beaute Launched Red Mascara To Match Its Iconic Soles & The Look Is Bold

You know the fashion brand for their classic red sole and the makeup brand for the classic red lip, but now Christian Louboutin is bringing another bold item onto the market. Christian Louboutin Beauté created a red mascara to match the brand's iconic shoe soles. Because if you're going to commit to the color, you might as well go all the way.

Red is a color that will never go out of style, and Louboutin is making sure of it. The brand took it's Les Yeux Noirs Lash Amplifying Lacquer and added red pigment, because why not. Gone are the days when tinted mascara was only found in the drugstore, my friends. The '90s trend is back — and it's more high end than ever.

According to the press release, on top of the red color, the mascara also enhances the definition, length, lift, and curl of lashes as well. The formula was designed to stay all day without flaking or rubbing off as well, but it's not waterproof. This isn't the first color that the brand has created besides the classic black. The lash product also comes in burgundy, which is slightly less noticeable than the red. Both are a part of the permanent collection though, so you can buy it whenever you're feeling bold.

The packaging is enough to catch your eye as well. The extravagant gold and black tube is so pretty that you'll want to put it on your makeup table. This is not your average drugstore find, my friends.

Rouge Louboutin Les Yeux Noirs Lash Amplifying Lacquer, $70, Sephora

The bright red mascara is available right now on the Christian Louboutin website. You can also snag it from Sephora — but it will cost you. In true high-fashion form, one tube of mascara will cost you a cool $70. That's roughly the price of ten drugstore tubes and big price to pay to bring a little color into your life.

While the price might seem high, it's no different than the original mascara formula. This comes from a brand that has $500 shoes and $50 nail polish, so you really should have expected the high price tag. Both the burgundy and black colored mascaras are $70 on the Sephora website, too.

On top of the extravagant lash tint, you'll also get a jewelry box-looking container to store your tube in. Because you can't just throw a $70 mascara into your makeup bag with your loose bobby pins and uncapped chapsticks. Plus, the tube doubles (in price and in look) as a focal point in any beauty room.

All jokes aside, the red mascara was created to go hand-in-hand with the brands new red lip oil. According to the press release, the Rouge Louboutin Loubibelle Lip Beauty Oil looks like a gloss but offers much more hydration. The formula includes jojoba oil, which is light and doesn't leave a sticky feel like other glosses can. The color comes off super pigmented though.

You can snag the Rouge Louboutin Loubibelle Lip Beauty Oil on the Christian Louboutin website right now. The only downfall is that it also costs $70. In case you're not following along, that means that both items together are $140. These items might be designed to go hand-in-hand for the boldest possible look, but you might need to choose between one or the other.

Just like the mascara, the packaging for the lip oil is anything but your typical tube. The product comes in a pine cone-esque ombre bottle with a top that looks almost like a crown. It also comes with a ribbon, so you can wear it as a necklace.
