Raise your hand if you’ve ever experienced the soul-crushing reality of waking up hungover on a Sunday and desperately craving Chick-Fil-A (hello, senior year of college). While I can’t help you with your chicken hunger pangs on Sundays, there is some brighter news ahead for Chick-Fil-A fans. If you’re lucky enough to live in a state with Chick-Fil-A, you’re gonna want to swing by on Jul. 11, otherwise known as Cow Appreciation Day. The chicken chain still very much wants you to "Eat More Chikin," and to help you do that, Chick-Fil-A is giving away free chicken all day long to hungry patrons on Jul. 11. But there’s a kitschy catch: you’ll have to earn it. So, by now, I'm sure you're wondering how to score some free Chick-Fil-A? Simple: just dig some cow merch out of your closet.

Fans looking to cash in on the free chicken deal need only show up on Jul. 11 sporting some kind of cow gear. Whether you opt for a cow t-shirt, a onesie with udders on the front, a spotted cowbell, or full-on black and white body paint, as long as you show up in some sort of bovine garb, the chain will serve you a chicken offering of your choice ... “fo’ free.” It’s worth noting that in 2016, you had to sport head-to-toe cow attire to earn a free meal, but in attempt to simplify, Chick-Fil-A has changed its ways. In 2017, a single piece of cow gear is now good for an entree. #Blessed.

So, show up in cow garb this year and you can cash in your support for most any of Chick-Fil-A’s fan favorites — from Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, chicken biscuits, nugget packs, and plenty of chicken snacks in between. You can view the full list of items you can nab here, but everyone knows there’s nothing like a chicken filet with two pickles on a toasted bun. Don’t forget the waffle fries and Chick-Fil-A Sauce!
