Ingrid Michaelson Has Unicorn Hair Now

Kylie Jenner, Hilary Duff, and January Jones have all answered the call before... and now your favorite singer songwriter Ingrid Michaelson officially has pastel hair, too. Oh, and this probably goes without saying, but let's say it anyway: It looks pretty darn awesome.

Michaelson, who's been busy promoting and touring her new album "It Doesn't Have to Make Sense," designing cool T-shirts for the Trevor Project, and making high-quality homemade slime, recently gave fans a sneak peek of her new 'do via Twitter, with a photo fittingly (and sassily) captioned, "So I have My Little Pony hair so what." Unfortunately, it's a low-angle car selfie, so we can't see the full effects of her new hair color in action yet — but hopefully, she'll rectify that soon with a better view of the look. Seriously, on-trend pink hair definitely deserves its own glamour selfie, right? Perhaps she's waiting for an upcoming TV appearance or photoshoot to truly unveil the look in all its glory.

At any rate, between the rise of millennial pink and the hype surrounding all things unicorn, it should come as no surprise that your longstanding favorite indie darling has grabbed the hair dye by the reins, taking on her own interpretation of the continually popular rose gold trend.

Looks like her new style subtly mixes platinum with pastel pink with an bayalage, which gives it an ethereal watercolor look. Side note: It's also pretty clear from this picture that Michaelson's eyelash game is seriously on point.

In her last selfie from a week ago, she was still rocking standard blonde strands (and her signature quirky glasses).
