Is Pat McGrath Restocking Lust #004?

by Kim Carpluk

Pat McGrath's Lust #004 Lip Kits are still making major media impact, most recently with a feature in the Taylor Swift x Zayn Malik's 50 Shades Darker “I Don't Wanna Live Forever” music video. Of course, the products have been sold out for quite a few months now, but a recent Instagram post hints at a potential restock.

Pat McGrath's Lust #004 lip kits initially went on sale in August 2016. Three five-piece $60 kits were initially launched: Flesh, Vermillion Venom, and Bloodwine. An everything kit was also available for $150, containing all three shades (six lipsticks, three glitters, a gold pigment, and a gloss). Single lipstick sans glitter could also be purchased for $25. Each product sold out quite quickly, as all McGrath's launches tend to do. The kits have been featured on runways for Maison Margiela, Versace, Fenty x Puma, and Louis Vuitton. The glitters have graced the pouts of Shay Mitchell, Naomi Campbell, Bella Hadid, and Chantel Jeffries just to name a few. And now, months later, these magical, mouthy products are still making headlines.

If you saw Taylor's glam in the video and were almost possessed to purchase the kit from Amazon for the incredibly inflated $229.99 price point, you may want to hold off a bit. According to McGrath herself, a restock may be in the works.

Could this be a clue that the lipstick sets could be coming back? It certainly seems like it. Dear Mother Pat, please save our poor, glitter-loving souls and provide us with this gift. It would be major. Sincerely, the entire makeup community.
