The 2017 Tony Awards is an event that often times brings together stars from both stage and screen. Many of the talented actors at the awards grace both which means we all get more red carpet time from stars. Tonight, Laura Linney's 2017 Tony Awards dress made fans of both theater and screen incredibly happy. Her dress is a stunning, colorful dream.

While fans may recognize the actress from roles in Love, Actually and as the face before Downton Abbey, it's Linney's role in The Little Foxes that should be credited for her appearance tonight on the red carpet. Linney is nominated for the role of Regina Giddens, but it's actually a role she shares with actress Cynthia Nixon. Linney and Nixon switch between the roles of Regina Giddens and Birdie Hubbard, but it was Linney who captured the nomination.

While many may recognize Linney for her screen work, she's an incredibly accomplished stage actress. In fact, she has been nominated for Tony Awards three times in the past for her work.

While she currently has no wins under her belt, that could all change tonight, and she wore the perfect dress to celebrate in if so. In a gorgeous, vibrant yellow dress, with orange belted detail, Linney wow-ed on the Tony Awards red carpet.
