The Price Of This Pilgrim-Looking Dress Might Surprise You

by Kali Borovic

When it comes to high fashion, you never know what you'll see next. There's a good chance that you didn't see this pricey outfit coming. As Teen Vogue found, Creatures of Comfort is selling a pilgrim-style dress for $450, and fans are not having it. There's a time and place to channel previous eras of fashion, but this one is pushing it a little. This is one dress that you have to see for yourself.

There's been a $3,000 dress made out of straw hats and $60 see-through jeans, but you've never seen something something like this before. Okay, maybe you have, but not for this price. Creatures of Chaos is selling a dress that looks like it came right out of the 1800s. It has a crew-neck, a partial button-up top, drop shoulders, and a gathered waist. Oh, and it comes in three different colors — army green, navy blue, and black — just in case you want to splurge on all of them.

If you're looking for an early Halloween costume or channeling the 1800s, this could be the dress for you. Everything from the product description to the way that they styled the model really does look like this outfit came right out of the movie Hocus Pocus. Honestly, you just have to see it yourself to take it all in.

The internet has gone crazy over this dress. According to Teen Vogue, it all started with a tweet that read, "bless everyone who is pretty enough, skinny enough, and rich enough to wear this dress." Since then, the dress has gone viral and people have some hilarious responses to it.

BLESS.

Great question.

For $450, you should at least get the matching bonnet.

Amen to that.

I can't even.

You can get the look for less, guys.

You know, so you can only look partly like a pilgrim.

Something tells me that this won't be the next fast fashion trend any time soon.
