What Each Zodiac Sign Really Wants For Valentine's Day

Every Valentine's Day, there's a rush to find that perfect Valentine's gift. Whether you're buying for a romantic partner, a family member, a pet, or your best friends, it can be sort of stressful. Although often associated with celebrating romantic love, ultimately, Valentine's Day is a day to celebrate love in all its forms.

But while physical gifts can be great, if we think beyond that and get creative, what's even better is giving something that each person in our lives will truly appreciate — and, for some, that's not an actual tangible gift at all. Especially depending on their zodiac signs.

"Each sign has its own unique qualities and personality traits," professional astrologer Rachel Lang tells Bustle. Because of this, we want to focus on those qualities and traits and really give the people we love most something that they'll appreciate most, whether that be quality time together or, yes, even a gift, if that's what their zodiac sign is likely to appreciate most.

By knowing more about a loved one's sign, you can figure out exactly what it is that's not only going to make them happy, but truly appreciate you for giving them something that they'll truly love, too. Here's what each zodiac sign really wants for Valentine's Day.

Aries (March 21 - April 19): To Win On Game Night

Tina Gong/Bustle

What Aries will appreciate most? Letting them win at game night.

Why? Aries is loving and passionate, as Lang points out, but they also love to win. One way to do it? If the Aries in your life has yet to beat you at Scrabble or Trivial Pursuit, let them win this Valentine's Day. Just don't tell them that you let them win, of course.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20): A Celebration Of Their Choice

Tina Gong/Bustle

What Taurus will appreciate most? Letting them choose what you're going to do to celebrate.

Why? While being the bull of the zodiac gives Taurus a bad reputation as being stubborn, there's more to them than that. According to Lang, Taurus is actually quite sensual and refined. In giving Taurus the control to choose the evening's events, you definitely play into that infamous stubbornness, but considering just how cultured they are, you'll probably find yourself at a museum, so that's a relief.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20): A Trapeze Class

Tina Gong/Bustle

What Gemini will appreciate most? A trapeze class.

Why? Gemini is probably one of the most fun zodiacs out there. They're also high-energy and always ready for a good time. Although race car driving would also be a fantastic option that Gemini will greatly appreciate, let's start off small and build our way up. Next year you can try race car driving.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22): Quality Time Together

Tina Gong/Bustle

What Cancer will appreciate most? Quality time together.

Why? While Cancer is a lot of things, its their sensitivity and dedication that you really want to cater to this Valentine's Day, which makes finding something they'll appreciate easy: quality time with you. It doesn't matter what it is; it's just all about hanging out with you, which, of course, is always a blast, because you really are that fun.

Leo (July 23 - Aug. 22): An Adrenaline Rush

Tina Gong/Bustle

What Leo will appreciate most? Sky diving.

Why? As the lion of the pack, Leo is known for their courage. If you really want to give the Leo in your life something they'll not just appreciate, but will carry with them forever, sign them up something that'll give them an adrenaline rush, like sky diving. I'm not suggesting you have to go, too, but being on the ground when they land will be gift enough.

Virgo (Aug. 23 - Sept. 22): A Good Conversation

Tina Gong/Bustle

What Virgo will appreciate most? Wine and good conversation.

Why? As one of the most loyal zodiac signs out there, but also one of the most critical, Virgo makes for a great friend in many ways, especially if your heart has been recently broken. No one can rip a heartbreaker to shreds quite like a Virgo. That being said, Virgo will most appreciate wine and good conversation.

Libra (Sept. 23 - Oct. 22): A Night Out

Tina Gong/Bustle

What Libra will appreciate most? Dinner at a nice restaurant, then a night on the town.

Why? Libras are social, charming, and naturally drawn to things that are beautiful and balanced. As a Libra myself, we're all about having fun and charming our way through it, with every step. Want to give us something we can appreciate? Give us what we crave most: an opportunity to socialize and charm everyone in the room.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 - Nov. 21): An Adventure

Tina Gong/Bustle

What Scorpio will appreciate most? A scavenger hut.

Why? Although Scorpio is often misunderstood, whether they're a friend or a lover, they're an important person to have in your life — if only to keep things mysterious and intense. It's these two qualities, combined with their need to get to the bottom of things, that will make an adventure like a scavenger hut an ideal choice that Scorpio, and literally only Scorpio, will truly appreciate.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 - Dec. 21): A Weekend Getaway

Tina Gong/Bustle

What Sagittarius will appreciate most? A last-minute weekend out of town.

Why? Of all the signs, it's Sagittarius who has a real lust for life and a lust to travel as far as possible. Although you may not be able to book a last-minute trip to Bangkok, just getting out of town and changing their scenery will be much appreciated.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 - Jan. 19): A Shopping Spree

Tina Gong/Bustle

What Capricorn will appreciate most? Shopping spree.

Why? While Capricorn is extremely goal-oriented, something you really can't work with unless you can get them their dream job, what they also like is to look good. So, shopping spree it is! Shopping with a friend — or partner — is always so much more fun than shopping alone.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 - Feb. 18): The Sky's The Limit

Tina Gong/Bustle

What Aquarius will appreciate most? It's more like what will Aquarius not appreciate the most, TBH.

Why? Aquarius isn't just the hippy, fun-loving, most open-minded of the zodiacs, but they're legit up for anything and everything that comes their way. So, as far as it goes in giving something to Aquarius that they'll appreciate most, the sky really is the limit. Whether you go bowling with them, take a hike together, or even make them a macaroni necklace like the one you made for your mom when you were five, Aquarius will eat it up and love it. Well, not literally eat up the macaroni necklace, but you know what I mean.

Pisces (Feb. 19 - March 20): An Art Class

Tina Gong/Bustle

What Pisces will appreciate most? An art class.

Why? Pisces are known for being really into crafts and excel at being crafty. It doesn't matter if it's a painting class, a pottery class, a knitting class, or even a gourmet pastry class, this is something Pisces will love and appreciate for sure.

In order to give someone you really care about the best gift for Valentine's Day, it's not about how much money you spent or how long went into planning it, what it really comes down to is knowing them as a person.
