Elly Bangs is queer trans woman who writes science fiction and fantasy. Her debut apocalyptic cyberpunk novel, Unity, came out in Spring 2021, and her short fiction has appeared in Lightspeed Magazine, Clarkesworld Magazine, Beneath Ceasless Skies, and elsewhere. She lives with her partner and cats in Seattle.
