Cocoa Rocha Launches Her Own Ready-To-Wear Line

by Augusta Statz

With years in the fashion industry under her belt, this model is taking a big next step, and it’s one that we should all be excited for. Coco Rocha is launching her own label in 2016. The brand, dubbed CO+CO by Coco Rocha, is a joint venture between Rocha and her husband and Paragon Project. This isn’t the first time Rocha’s turned her sights to designing, her latest venture being with Botkier handbags. But, it is the first time creating her own ready-to-wear collection. And I, for one, can’t wait for it.

CO+CO by Coco Rocha is a womenswear collection inspired by architecture. It’s labeled as “streetwear” and will contain 60 styles ranging from $80-$300. By the sounds of it the collection is sure to be edgy, affordable, and well-made because Rocha knows her fashion. “I'm all about quality, materials and construction. Being raised around fashion since I was 14, I've seen first-hand what makes beautiful tailoring and what makes for something that will literally fall apart on you after a few hours,” Rocha told Fashionista.

She’s got the aesthetic, the know-how and the style to pull-off one amazing collection. Take a look at nine of her best looks and get even more excited for her style to be translated into something we can all wear.

OK, this looks super modern and chic. Just when I thought I couldn't be any more excited, you know?

1. Impeccable Tailoring

Rocha's no stranger to a well-made suit or a bold print, and I have a feeling this will come across in the collection.

2. Lady In Red

She can work a bright color like no other.

3. Like The Boys

Her menswear-inspired game is strong.

4. Structured LBD

She gives the LBD an upgrade by choosing to got with cutouts and a full-skirt, and I'd be thrilled to see a piece like this in the 2016 line.

5. Sleek & Modern

Rocha does sleek and modern so well.

6. Jumpsuit Diva

She knows her way around a jumpsuit, too. Practical pieces that can be dressed up or down are just the best.

7. Lovely In Leather

If leather pieces like this were included in the collection, that would be fine by me.

8. Pop Of Color

A statement-making blazer would be great, too.

9. Feathered Perfection

She even makes feathers work. Now, that's a style star, IMO.

I am beyond ready to see how her style will influence the streetwear line. The collection will be available on Coco Rocha's website and at leading American and international retailers. Now, all that's left to do is wait.

That's easier said than done, though.
