Chelsea Peretti for President! (Of Twitter)

Who is Chelsea Peretti? If you're a fan of Brooklyn Nine-Nine you probably already know her face and her hilarious penchant for self-important, totally out-of-line one-liners, but this comedian had been around for years writing and story editing for Parks and Recreation and cropping up with bit parts on that series as well as Louie. Plus, she's been doing stand up since the early 2000s, has written for The Village Voice and The Huffington Post, and is the sister of Buzzfeed founder Jonah Peretti. But if that's not enough to pique your interest, let's get back to basics and check out the window to her world: Peretti's incredible Twitter feed.

Look, Twitter is weird. And the fact that we follow celebrities and comedians hoping to get a glimpse into their lives is weird. And the fact that we care how many strangers clicked the little star button is weird. But it's life and we're just stuck in this hamster wheel together, plumbing for retweets and Klout-boosting follows. And while Katy Perry may have broken Twitter records with her 51 million followers, the singer and her tour updates ain't got nothing on this Brooklyn Nine-Nine star.

Ladies and gents, this is why you absolutely positively need to follow Chelsea Peretti on Twitter (and watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine, duh):

1. She really gets the internet.

2. She gets it to the point where her jokes border on shiny, impossible dreams we'd all like to dream.

3. She's having a hard time wrapping her head around this McConaissance too.

4. She's all about promoting equality of the sexes.

5. She's "philosophical."

6. She contemplates the big, important questions.

7. She knows how to Tweet like a celebrity... who's acting like a disappointed mother.

8. She makes sure all of her fans feel special.

9. And keeps us up to date on important news.

10. She posts pictures and video of this adorable creature.

11. And most importantly, she's more interesting and more funny than most celebs on Twitter so just follow her and watch as your daily Twitter troll gets a hilarious boost. And wolves. Lots of wolves.
