Andy Dwyer Would Be Proud Of This

With each passing day, I grow more and more convinced that Chris Pratt is not only one of the best comedy actors of our generation, but is also a national treasure as well. I mean, in addition to his genius roles as Andy on Parks and Recreation and as Peter Quill — I mean, Star-Lord! — in Guardians of the Galaxy, the dude is also totally charitable, a genuinely nice guy, and a huge dork too. Seriously, just take a look at this: During Wednesday night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Chris Pratt participated in a hilarious segment with host Jimmy Kimmel that involved Pratt showing up at the Jimmy Kimmel Live! studios in anticipation of an interview...only to find out he's not actually scheduled for the show. Awkward! (And amazing, of course.)

Though I don't want to give too much of the skit away (hey, surprise Chris Pratt appearances don't happen every day, I want you to enjoy it as much as possible), I will say that the mix-up is definitely something Andy Dwyer would be proud of — mostly because it involves a situation that Andy Dwyer would absolutely find himself in if he was an actor — and is caused by a few things: An e-vite, Chris Pratt's brother's weird nickname, and bowties. Also, the final season of Parks and Recreation gets a great little promotion in the clip ahead of its Jan. 13 premiere as well, but it hurts me to talk about that part because it means actually accepting that the show is going to end after season 7.

Anyway, you can check the clip below. Can Chris Pratt just make surprise appearances in, like, every show from now on?
