Sometimes You Just Gotta Dance, Dance

by Almie Rose

You know what? If there's anything I've learned in this life, it's that donuts are delicious and that sometimes, you just gotta dance. You just gotta get up out of your seat and rock it, as hard as you can. Even if you've had a long day. No — especially if you've had a long day. You just gotta crank some music and dance it out. It might be the only way you get your sanity back. And it doesn't matter where you are or if you're surrounded by strangers. At least that's the theory one guy had when he (wearing a tuxedo, naturally) started a dance party on a train in Perth, Australia.

"I'm doing this because we are all amazing individuals. And we all have a story to tell. We all have something to share," he tells a group of commuters. "So, as a way of breaking that ice, I'm gonna start a small dance party. And if you want to join, you're more than welcome." Okay, that's vaguely annoying in an over-enthusiatic motivational speaker kind of way, but I'll permit it – because what this turns into is genuinely so joyful.

Reluctantly at first, people decide to join the mobile dance party – and it's awesome. They dance to a variety of danceable hits, including James Brown's "I Got You (I Feel Good)" And watching this video, you're sure to feel good, too.

Only one woman looked particularly concerned, and to her I say: it's okay. It's just a dance party on a train. It's going to be fine. It's going to be great.
