72 Hours At The Biebers’ Favorite Greek Getaway

When I found out that Hailey & Justin had spent time at the Calilo hotel, I knew I had to visit.

It’s no secret that the Biebers are jet setters. Between Justin’s touring, Hailey’s fashion week obligations, and their couples vacations, the two are always hitting the road. But of the many luxurious locales they’ve visited, the one that gave me the most wanderlust was the Calilo: a 30-suite, state-of-the art resort on the Greek island of Ios overlooking six miles private beach.

So when the Calilo offered me the opportunity to visit the hotel, I jumped at the chance to follow in the Biebers’ footsteps. Here are the highlights.

One of the first things that I noticed in Hailey’s snaps from the hotel was the private pool that accompanied her suite. And upon arrival, I was elated to learn that my room also came with one.

But what I assumed was some VIP treatment turned out to just be the standard at the Calilo. Nearly every hotel room on the property is outfitted with a pool — and some have up to three.

Though I’m not sure what the inside of the Bieber’s suite was like — I’m not that creepy — I can tell you that each of the rooms are decorated with up to 120,000 pieces of marble.

They also come with soaking tubs, hand-crafted mosaics, and views of the ocean.

During Hailey and Justin’s stay, the pair made more use of the ocean than the communal pool, with Hailey posting photos of them paddle boarding around the resort.

But I’m not one for waves, so I took advantage of the pool and the many swings sprinkled throughout its deep end. All while drinking a glass of rosé, naturally.

But what I loved the most about the Calilo was how it mixed tradition with whimsy, blending classic Grecian touches like its blue and white color scheme with works of contemporary art.

Thanks for the travel tip, Hailey and Justin! Can’t wait to see where you two go next.
