Samsung Just Dropped 2 New Foldable Smartphones

On Aug. 10, Samsung announced two new foldable smartphones during the Galaxy Unpacked livestream: the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4. These fourth-generation devices offer upgraded cameras, improved productivity, and more.

If #content is king for you, you’ll be happy to know the Galaxy Z Flip4 lets you shoot hands-free video and has a FlexCam, which can capture those hard-to-get angles (think big group selfies). Samsung also teamed up with Meta, so the camera is optimized for your Instagram needs.

With an upgraded camera, the Galaxy Z Flip4 boasts crisper videos and photos thanks to a sensor that’s 65% brighter than previous generations. You can also take selfies in portrait mode and from the cover screen.

The Galaxy Z Flip4 comes in legacy colors (Bora Purple and Graphite) and new colors (Pink Gold and Blue). Plus, on Samsung.com and at Samsung Experience Stores, you can choose from glass colors and frame options to customize your device.

The Galaxy Z Flip4 starts at $999.99 and is available for pre-order now, with retail availability starting on Aug. 26. With an eligible trade-in, you can get the device for $99.

Samsung is calling the Galaxy Z Fold4 its most powerful smartphone yet. And thanks to new productivity features, it’ll have multitaskers rejoicing.

There’s a new taskbar, which lets you access your favorite and recent apps; drag-and-drop, which lets you copy and paste links and photos between apps; and the ability to split your screen in half.

With a 23% brighter camera sensor, you can take clearer photos even when it’s dark out. The device also features an upgraded 50MP wide lens and 30x Space Zoom, along with modes that allow for increased flexibility: Capture View Mode, Dual Preview, and Rear Cam Selfie.

The Galaxy Z Fold4 comes in Graygreen, Beige, and Phantom Black. You can also get it in Burgundy in the 256GB and 512GB models, and 1TB on Samsung.com and at Samsung Experience Stores.
