'The Other Woman' Style Just Keeps Getting Better

by Mary Avant

As a lover of all things red carpet, 2014 has been a pretty great year for me so far. It kicked off with a brand new style star (all hail Lupita Nyong’o!) and a stellar Golden Globes red carpet, followed by the always-amazing Academy Awards and edgier awards shows like the Grammys and the MTV Movie Awards. But award shows aside, there have also been some notable red carpet moments over the last several months thanks to the premieres of films like Noah — where stars Emma Watson and Jennifer Connelly battled it out in style — and Divergent, where we fell in love with actress Shailene Woodley’s hippie style all over again.

Now there’s another film whose stunning stars and fabulous fashion are capturing our hearts and attention: The Other Woman. Starring Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, and Kate Upton, the comedy has produced quite the string of gorgeous ensembles at premieres in London, Amsterdam, Munich, and — most recently — Los Angeles. And it was this last premiere that may have been best of all, with the three leading ladies putting their best red carpet foot forward and sporting a trio of lovely looks that left us begging for more.

Diaz, for one, fell back on her go-to style — a mini dress — but looked nothing short of amazing (and nowhere near boring) in her plunging LBD. With its U-shaped neckline, flouncy and flattering skirt, and satin sheen, Diaz’s dress was every bit the perfect combination of elegant and sexy that we’ve come to know and love from the actress and author. Pairing the look with sleek locks, classic red lips, and embellished ankle-strap heels, she stole the show hands down (and that was no easy feat) at the L.A. premiere.

Upton — who has looked nothing less than a classic, and classy, beauty on The Other Woman promo tour — impressed once again, choosing a strapless mini dress like Diaz for the California premiere. Sporting a steel and metallic gray, textured Dolce & Gabbana number — along with metallic pumps, a delicate diamond necklace, dangling earrings, and a swept-back updo — the model-turned-actress was a sparkling stunner on the red carpet.

Mann — who’s been sporting her fair share of floor-sweeping, draped numbers throughout the press tour — did more of the same, bringing a little color to The Other Woman red carpet in her gorgeous, two-toned, two-piece ensemble from Monique Lhuillier. With its pink silk bandeau and poppy-colored, slit-to-the-knee skirt, the pared-down outfit meshed perfectly with her strappy, statement sandals and sexy, side-swept hair.

Rapper and actress Nicki Minaj, who has a supporting role in the film, brought her A-game to the red carpet, too, reprising her surprisingly sophisticated fashion sense from the recent MTV Movie Awards. Wearing a cream, subtly chevron-printed gown, Minaj looked sleek and seductive in her covered-up but curve-hugging ensemble — proving she's just an "other woman" in the cast who's a fashion force to be reckoned with.
