Amanda Seyfried Gets A Lob For An Altruistic Cause, Looks Gorgeous As Ever

It seems the lob trend, which started almost a full year ago, is still alive and kicking, as yet another starlet has hopped on the bandwagon. Amanda Seyfried debuted a brand new lob cut on Thursday, but not for the reason you may think. The 29-year-old, who has sported ultra long locks for as long as I can remember, donated her chopped tresses to Locks of Love, the charity that turns human hair into wigs for sick children. Seyfried just rose to the top of my favorite celebrity list.

Not only is she doing something good, but she actually looks really good too — the shorter length really suits the frame of her face. The actress took to Instagram to post the first photo of her lovely shoulder-length lob, which had some long layered pieces at the front. Thankfully, she stuck to her natural golden hue (it appears), because you can't buy hair color that pretty. She then posted another photo on her Instagram of her chopped hair styled atop her dog's head, with the caption "Finn is wearing my #locksforlove." Awww.

Amanda may be a little late to the lob party, following celebs like Vanessa Hudgens, Lauren Conrad, and Jessica Alba, but she sure does win that contest, at least IMO.

Take a look at the before and after, which showcases the dramatic makeover.
