Britney's "Circus" Video Will Never Stop Sparkling

The videography of the legendary Ms. Britney Spears is about as close to perfection as a videography can get; even the less remarkable music videos (lookin' at you, "Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know") are still completely watchable. I realize opinions are subjective, my opinion is biased, et cetera, but as far as this Britney superfan is concerned, Spears has yet to release a bonafide dud of a video. That being said, as stellar as all of Spears' videos are, some shine brighter than the rest. They are the jewels in the videography crown. One of those jewels is 2008's "Circus."

When Spears is on her A game (translation: when she nails complicated choreography, wears next-level bodysuits, reduces the camera to pile of smoldering ash with her gaze, et cetera), she cannot be stopped. Godney is definitely on her A game in the "Circus" music video. The "Circus" music video wipes the floor with anyone who watches it.

Every single time I put the "Circus" music video in my eyes, my breath is like, "AHHH! This piece of art has taken me away!" (Don't worry, my breath always returns once the video ends.) Here are some of the reasons why:

"Curious and Fantasy? For me? You shouldn't have!"

"A set of Bvlgari jewels? For me? You shouldn't have!"

Leave it to Britney to make the simple act of putting on earrings look glamorous beyond all reason.

This chill-inducing silhouette gives me chills.

That fringe is my sun, moon, and stars.

"L8R, plebes."

Uh, oh! Looks like Godney has something up her fringed sleeve.

Ugh, move it, sand. What were you thinking? How dare you get in Danceney's way.

Tights made out of diamonds!

This might be the most beautiful thing to happen in a music video.

This just in: Britney's arms morphed into literal snakes.

Oh, wait. This might be the most beautiful thing to happen in a music video.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and sparks go together like Curious and Bvlgari.

Danceney is fireball. Fire is fireball. Fireball is a fireball.

Everything is a fireball.

A high kick right to my heart.

"You want a piece of me? LOLOLOL."

I bow to thee, Queen Godney.
