Florida-based beauty vlogger Jaclyn Hill is launching her own makeup line in 2016, and if the success of her recent collaboration with BECCA is any indication, it just might break the Internet.
The makeup queen's collab with BECCA, a shimmery, soft white gold powder highlighter with pinky peach undertones that's part of the brand's Shimmering Skin Perfector line up, was a runaway success. According to MimiChatter, the limited edition shade, called "Champagne Pop," broke the record for Sephora's most purchased product on its first day of release. I don't know about you, but I'm having Urban Decay Naked palette flashbacks right now. If you haven't gotten your hands on it already, it may be a long wait.
The 25-year-old beauty mogul is known for her impeccable cheek highlight, and if you don't believe me, just watch any of her YouTube videos — it's impossible to miss that shimmer.
Now that we know how good Hill is at meeting our makeup needs, it's an understatement to say that beauty junkies are eager to see what her own collection, to be titled Jaclyn Hill Collection, will hold. According to Refinery29, Hill has been saving money to build her own line since she was 18 (with absolutely no help from investors), ensuring that the collection will definitely stay true to her aesthetic.
"I didn't want people telling me what to do, or controlling me," Hill told Refinery29 during a celebration event for Champagne Pop, "I wanted to make sure that I stayed true to myself."
Up first in her collection? Lipsticks! A range is slated to launch online in February 2016 and come in glitzy packaging that Hill described to Refinery29 as, "Silver, white, and blingy with rhinestones." Um, can I get a preview of this prototype? I just need to plan accordingly for the massive amount of space her lippies will take up in my makeup bag.
February is a long ways away, but if you can't handle the wait, there's more good news — Hill also has an eyeshadow collaboration with Makeup Geek, due out this October. Soon it'll be possible to have an entirely Jaclyn Hill-approved face of makeup!
In the meantime, here's a tutorial from the contour queen herself to help you perfect your strobing technique using the new BECCA highlighter.
