Chrissy's Latest Cover Photo Wasn't Photoshopped

by Melanie Richtman

Although you might not guess it from their social media confidence, celebrities have body insecurities just like you and I do. Chrissy Teigen covered Women's Health UK without any retouching — no Photoshop at all. In a recent interview with Mashable, Teigen talked about the photo not being Photoshopped, how she still has insecurities just like everyone else, and how sometimes Internet haters still get to her, even though she tries to ignore them. So when she had the option to pose nude for Women's Health UK without any retouching, she decided to go for it, wanting to be an example for women everywhere.

"I think it's extra important right now to show a woman not wholly retouched," Teigen said to Mashable. "It's becoming the norm for people to have this butt that's been plucked and pulled, and these boobs from somewhere else. It's not normal. I think it's our responsibility as women to show our flaws and how we're far from perfect."

She said the experience was empowering, even though Internet trolls were out to get her, critiquing every little flaw she has. Teigen said that although she may not show it, she is sometimes hurt by the comments and criticisms she receives. But at the end of the day, Teigen left the Women's Health UK shoot with a smile on her face, happy that she got to show the world that everyone is perfectly imperfect, even supermodels.

Even if she isn't getting naked on the cover of a magazine, Teigen's Instagram is a great example of body positivity, from her no makeup selfies to her IDGAF attitude, and I love how comfortable and confident she is.
