Should President Obama Make Kanye Drop 'SWISH'?

by Maggie Malach

Can't wait for the release of Kanye West's upcoming album, SWISH ? You're not alone! West's stans have spoken and they can barely stand the suspense. (But seriously, same.) The fans are so excited for new music from the rapper that there was even a White House petition asking President Barack Obama to order West to drop SWISH on Aug. 21.

As Billboard reports, fans posted a We the People petition on Aug. 12. The message read:

Kanye West has kept us thirsty for too long. We haven't gotten any new singles in months. The President should order Ye to drop the album on the date August, 21st as his producer Mike Dean has been teasing people about.

However, later the afternoon the petition was removed by the site for violating the Terms of Participation. Complex reports that the Aug. 21 date specified in the petition references a reportedly fake Instagram direct message from West's producer Mike Dean.

It looks like President Obama won't be ordering West to drop SWISH anytime soon, but luckily there are a few ways that the rapper's fans can pass the time until the new music arrives. Here are seven Kanye-esque things you can do.

1. Write A Lullaby

One of West's most emotional songs will remain "Only One," a track he penned for North West.

2. Stage Crash Someone

The Taylor Swift incident will never get old.

3. Win A Grammy ... Or 21

West remains one of the all-time top Grammy winners.

4. Focus On Dreams

Quoth West's Twitter: "I want to steer clear of 'opportunities' and focus on dreams."

5. Order A Simple Persian Rug With Cherub Imagery

Another famous West tweet proclaimed (via the Daily Beast), "I specifically ordered persian rugs with cherub imagery!!! What do I have to do to get a simple persian rug with cherub imagery uuuugh."

6. Hang Out With Kristen Stewart

Yep, these two are apparently friends.

7. Get Emotional Over Fonts

In 2010, West tweeted (via Idolator),"Sometimes I get emotional over fonts." Same.
