Anna Kendrick Is A Life Guru

To celebrate their 30th anniversary, Elle Magazine is interviewing and photographing some of the most accomplished 30-year-old women — including the fearless leader of the Bellas herself. Anna Kendrick shared the best advice in her interview, discussing her personal mantra and her hopes for the future. When asked if she had a mantra or motto, Kendrick replied, "I can't think of anything that wouldn't make me sound like a pretentious f*ckface. Maybe that should be my motto: Don't be a pretentious f*ckface."

She covers other topics in the interview, including career goals and her desire to make her own pie crust. When asked how she accomplished so much at such a young age, she explains, "I don't really have a serious answer for that. I'm trying to think of a funny answer because so much of it is dumb luck and hard work and some kind of magical mixture of the two. If I had a secret to success, I'd make a lot of money writing a book about it."
