Dayum. That is all I have to say about FKA Twigs' 2015 MTV VMAs outfit. The "Pendulum" singer arrived on the red carpet looking completely different than we're used to seeing her. Ever since she came onto the scene, FKA Twigs has rocked her signature buns, sometimes with braids, other times tightly woven into two top knots. But tonight, FKA Twigs decided to let her hair down and seriously, wow. Robert Pattinson is one lucky fellow.
Not only was I completely wowed by FKA Twigs' gorgeous and voluminous wavy lob, I was floored by her romantic, but still edgy naked dress. Who else could make a caged corset bodice and a completely sheer skirt look romantic and ethereal? Literally no one. Just FKA Twigs.
It's a departure from the embellished, avant garde, and colorful getups we're used to seeing on FKA. For whatever reason, though, she decided to go a little more natural and minimalist tonight, void of color and adornments. I have to say, I am 100% on board with it. All of it.
FKA Twigs just oozes this effortless cool girl aesthetic that cannot be imitated. The hair, the makeup, the gown...case closed: FKA Twigs is the girl everyone is jealous of at this year's VMAs. Miley is definitely calling her up to borrow that dress after the show.
Seriously, TOO COOL.
