Will Miley Be Going On Tour?

by Jenny Hollander

On Sunday night, Miley Cyrus did a Beyoncé and dropped a surprise album after her closing performance of "Dooo It!" at the 2015 VMAs. There were very few things that could top Kanye West announcing his plans to run for president in 2020, but an unexpected Cyrus album is certainly one of them: Her new album, Miley Cyrus And Her Dead Petz, is available online right now with 22 brand-spanking-new tracks for you to listen to. So, will Cyrus be going on tour for her new album?

Well, it's been almost exactly one year since the final date of Cyrus' last tour, the infamousBangerztour, which took her all over the world for most of 2014. If that tour was any indication of what to expect from Miley next, we have a lot to expect: Bangerz stretched from February all the way through to October, with every performance more talked-about than the last. But Cyrus' website doesn't offer a lot of information about what we can expect in terms of promotion for her new album — it just redirects to Miley Cyrus And Her Dead Petz, which features 23 songs, from "Evil is but a Shadow" to "Miley Tibetan Bowlzzz."

There's no information anywhere on her website about any plans to tour, but given the sheer number of songs on this album, it's difficult to imagine that Cyrus won't be touring at some point to perform them. Cyrus changed her Twitter bio to read: "Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz out now fo freeeeeee mothaaaa fuckazzz!" and Tweeted about the album shortly after announcing it:

However, nowhere on social media has Cyrus suggested that she'll be going on tour with her new album.
