Naming a star with a better sense of classic Hollywood style than Cate Blanchett is going to be a difficult feat. That's probably way Cate Blanchett topped Us Weekly's 2015 Best Dressed List. The list was created by some of the most fashionable minds in the industry. Everyone from Zac Posen to Lauren Conrad chimed in to name their favorite stylish celebs, and the Blue Jasmine actress was named by each fashion forward panelist. After all, who could blame them?
Us Weekly's panel was a star-studded and stylish bunch themselves, and each had different opinions on who should be included on the Best Dressed list. Other than Posen and Conrad, fashion industry stars like Naomi Campbell, Chris McMillian, Diane Von Furstenberg, Valentino Garavani, Frederic Fekkai, and Heidi Klum all contributed celebs to the list. It was Zac Posen though who can be seen in the Us Weekly video gushing about Blanchett's style. He said, "She has that magic star quality. There's a level of elegance, sophistication, of sensuality, sexiness to her." I wholeheartedly agree with Posen. Blanchett has had a bit of a style evolution, but its her moments of hearkening back to styles of the past that I think makes her really shine.
Blanchett isn't the only star named to the list. Many of the panelist had other names to suggest. Lauren Conrad chose Rihanna for her bold, unapologetic choices. Fashion girl Jamie Chung was named as the trendsetter by super model Naomi Campbell saying, "Young, fun, girl next door, yet still sexy. We love girls like that." While I agree with the entire list of stars, there are definitely a couple more that I think could be added to the list of Hollywood's most fashionable.
1. Olivia Palermo
While she may not be an actress or singer, Palermo did have a brief reality TV stint, and her classic basics meets rock star style make her worthy of any best dressed list.
2. Jennifer Lopez
Can you even think of the last carpet J. Lo walked that she didn't look like perfection personified? Yeah, neither can I.
3. Emma Stone
Her red carpet style is never the same but always on point. Plus, she the queen of downtown cool with her perfect skinny jeans, ballet flats, and structured jackets.
4. Kiernan Shipka
This style star is young, but she's already dazzled many on carpets and at premieres. Shipka knows how to balance risks and classic style perfectly.
5. Zendaya Coleman
This young starlet is definitely going to be on best dressed lists for years to come. Calling it now.
