'Modern Family' Considers a Post-DOMA Wedding

Modern Family show creator Christopher Lloyd said Wednesday that the Supreme Court's recent ruling for the Defense of Marriage Act might spell wedding bells for Cam and Mitch in the show's next season. While Cam and Mitch are probably the most recognized gay couple on television right now, there's a few more same-sex couples who we'd love to see get a chance at the altar. Image: ABC

'Buffy the Vampire Slayer': Willow and Tara

Okay, so even though the show is canceled — and Tara died in season 6 — Tara and Willow's relationship was really the strongest and most touching relationship in the entire series. If anyone from Buffy could've made it in the long term, it's definitely those two.Image: 20th Century Fox

'Glee': Blaine and Kurt

We're torn between wanting to see Blaine and Kurt get married and dreading Ryan Murphy screwing up yet another important moment on Glee. On the one hand, Kurt and Blaine are an adorable couple who have supported each other though a lot. On the other hand, Kurt and Blaine are kind of on the rocks right now, yet Ryan Murphy seems hell-bent on pursuing yet another crazy teen marriage storyline. Hopefully these too get a proper happy ending... after they've grown up a little, of course.Image: FOX Broadcasting

'Friends': Carol and Susan

Ross' ex-wife Carol and her girlfriend Susan did get married on Friends, but it was 15 years before gay marriage was actually legalized in New York in 2011. The episode is incredibly indicative of how far we've come as a culture on the issue — in 1996, the episode was a huge controversy, and Carol and Susan were not shown kissing. As two of Ben's parents, Carol and Susan definitely deserve a real wedding, with full marital benefits.Image: Wikipedia

'Happy Endings': Max and... Anyone

Happy Endings was a unique in that it spent much more time on mischievous, loveable slob Max's quirks than the fact that he was gay. Max definitely enjoyed living the bachelor life on the show, but maybe if Happy Endings had lived on (*sob*), he would've eventually settled down. Now we'll never be able to see Boyz II Menorah perform at Max's own wedding...Photo: ABC
