Is She Returning to Music?

by Tanya Ghahremani

Remember that one time Lindsay Lohan tried to have a music career? And then she just ended up releasing a heavily autotuned song in which she talked about going to "the club" and all the "rumors" about her? Well, get ready to experience that all over again! According to The Huffington Post, Lindsay Lohan is headed back into music, in hopes that perhaps releasing a new album will help give her career the jolt it desperately needs to get back on track.

It became clear that this was Lohan's intention after she posted a couple of photos of herself in the studio. Though she doesn't make it clear what she's working on, TMZ reports that Lohan wants to try releasing some EDM songs, which means you could soon find Lindsay Lohan collaborating with Daft Punk or Zedd. (JK probably not. If she does, you can come find me and tell me I was wrong to my face.)

One weird note, however, does come from the Daily Mirror: While TMZ reported that Lohan had gotten advice from Lady Gaga and Max George from The Wanted to help her relaunch a music career, the Daily Mirror is saying that Lohan is actually collaborating with The Kills rocker/Kate Moss's husband, Jamie Hince. According to a source talking to the UK tabloid: "Lindsay’s really embarrassed by [her old music], it was really poppy and cheesy. She sees herself as far more credible now...Jamie is one of her idols – she loves The Kills and sees herself as a bit of a rock chick."

Backing up their statement is another picture Lohan posted on her Instagram, holding up a record from The Kills and captioned "#jamiehince #tomh #robbie #bigpink #studiotime."

New sound or not — either way, we'll never forget her old school stuff thanks to the Internet. Sorry, Linds!
