Demi Lovato's 'X Factor' Spot Should Be Filled By One of These 5 Available Pop Stars
Welp, it's official. Demi Lovato is leaving X Factor , a show that she has acted as a judge on for the past two seasons. According to reports, Demi will spend her 2014 on her Neon Lights tour and potentially working on new music projects. The singer/actress, who currently has a guest spot on the Fox show Glee, will be missed at the judge's table, where, this season, she sat with Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio. So, who should take over Demi's judging gig? Here are five celebrities that we think would fit right in.
Miley Cyrus
Love her or hate her, you have to admit that Miley is one-of-a-kind. No one would ever accuse Miley of holding back, which is exactly what we need in a talent show judge — someone who isn’t afraid to bring the real talk. Miley has admitted that she wants the world to talk about her, and a spot as a judge on The X Factor would be great exposure… not like she needs it.
Lady Gaga
What do you do when your latest album gets “meh” reviews and critics are wondering if you’ll stay relevant? Show the up-and-comers who’s boss on a singing competition show. Lady Gaga may be weird, but she’s an immensely talented singer and songwriter and would give great advice to struggling acts.
Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake himself has admitted that he’s too nice to judge The X Factor , but we think that’s the exact reason why he should. Timberlake should definitely be the Paula Abdul of the show, don’t you think? Plus, we’d love to see him perform “Sexyback” as a duet with one of the contestants.
Kelly Clarkson
The original American Idol winner knows what it’s like to be on the other side of the judge’s table, which means that not only will her comments be fair, but contestants will understand that they are getting advice from someone who has been in their shoes before. Plus, Kelly Clarkson is arguably one of the greatest success stories to come out of a singing competition TV show, so she has a ton of credibility to back her up.
