Chiara Ferragni Wore A Blazer & Bra To NYFW

by Julia Guerra

Fashionistas everywhere are mourning the wrap-up of another successful New York Fashion Week. No doubt style lovers were anything but disappointed by the grandiose runway statements, but personally I think street styles were even more on point. Instagram model and well known fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni wore a bra and polka dot blazer Thursday, concluding her NYFW experience on one chic high note. Realistically, though, did you expect any less from the woman who built an entire namesake empire and has been featured on a slew of glossy covers including Vogue Spain and Lucky?

This woman ultimately wins at life. Only Ferragni can hit the streets in a blazer and bra and make it look oh so classy. All the goals. Of course the look was head to toe designer; the classic blazer courtesy of Givenchy, a Chanel chunky gold statement necklace around her neck and Chanel fanny pack at her waist, and boots that rose to her knees by Gianvito Rossi.

It’s women like Ferragni who remind us that every week is fashion week, and our signature styles make up the runway. You don’t have to be a model to embody high-end fashion, and what's even better - you don’t have to spend the cringe-worthy cash to look the part, either.

There is an overwhelming amount of style inspo coming from Ferragni's ensemble here. So whether you'd totally emulate the entire ensemble, or are fan girling over the stunning separates, here's how you can steal Ferragni's NYFW street style.

The Blazer

Lapel Neck Polka Dot Blazer, $21, Rose Gal

If you're aiming to resemble a Ferragni replica, I've got you covered. You want your blazer just low enough to shed some skin, but high enough so that you're not raffling off the goods. Definitely opt for a single, centered button blazer and pair with a bandeau.

Monochrome Polka Dot Blazer, $39, Little-Mistress

So you're a fan of the jacket, but not so much the peek of skin. No worries, there are plenty of tasteful blazers to throw on over a solid tank or v-neck shirt. I'm a fan of this blazer from Little Mistress because of its angular cut.

The Shorts

BP. High Rise Denim Shorts, $44, Nordstrom

This ensemble is going to be predominantly black, so even though these denim shorts are still dark, the difference in hues provides a significant contrast.

The Necklace

Kenneth Jay Lane Large Link Necklace, $45, Last Call

I adore statement necklaces and this Kenneth Jay Lane piece is a gorgeous alternative to Ferragni's Chanel accessory.

The Boots

Nine West Gofish High Dress Boots, $189, Macys

When I say boots, you say how high? I'm all in favor of a pair of knee-high boots and short shorts. It polishes off the look perfectly. Of course, a good pair of boots are an investment, so expect to spend a little more on these.

The Fanny Pack

Ferragni is definitely making a case for fanny packs with this look. Turns out they can be pretty chic. This is totally a few steps up from grandma's power walk pouch.
