8 Things Heidi Klum's Emmys 2015 Dress Looks Like

by Alexa Tucker

Yellow is having a serious moment at the 2015 Emmy Awards, but some are doing it better than others. Sadly, Project Runway host Heidi Klum's sunny choice was a bit of a miss. Sorry, Tim Gunn — looks like she didn't quite "make it work."

Klum discovered the Atelier Versace dress on the runway and rang up Donatella to see if she could wear it, but I kinda wish the designer just hadn't answered. It wasn't all bad, of course — this is supermodel Heidi Klum we're talking about. Her intricate low chignon was beautiful and chic, and her skin looked glowy and fresh (she does not age, I'm convinced.)

But as for the gown, it had, um, a lot going on — a solo long sleeve complete with ruffles and a touch of fringe, floral appliques throughout the middle, an open back, and an almost chainmail-looking mesh bottom. And it's only slightly more confusing to describe than it is to actually see.

Thankfully, Klum has plenty of red carpet moments in her repertoire that absolutely knocked it out of the park, but I don't think this is one of them. Props for taking the risk, though, Heids! It really is something you have to see for yourself:

3. Belle (but, y'know, after a run-in with those angry wolves in the woods. #NeverForget)

4. A yellow bed canopy

5. My mom's fancy ribbon collection

6. Torn curtains

8. A pile of fabric from the Project Runway tables (Hey, sometimes you just gotta throw something together last-minute.)
