Humor Really Runs In Hayes & Nash Grier's Fam

by Daniela Cabrera

When they announced the line-up to Season 21 of Dancing With The Stars, I have to admit that I recognized very few of the stars beyond Chaka Khan. Like, who was Hayes Grier?! I actually should've known better than to question that, because these days he probably has a larger fan base than any of the other celebs on the season. Hayes is the younger brother of Nash Grier, a bonafide social media star, and he's following in his older bro's footsteps. For Nash, who now has over 8 million followers on Instagram and 5 million on Twitter, it all started with Vine (where he has over 12 million followers!), so I decided to round up the best Nash Grier Vines for your viewing pleasure.

But first, how did two brothers from North Carolina become kings of social media? When Nash was only a freshman in high school, he started putting his comedic skills to use with little videos for his friends from high school. Soon enough, the Internet and thousands of lovestruck girls got a hold of his account and the rest was history. Two cute brothers being funny together? That's like 13-year-old girl GOLD. So, while Hayes is off practicing his samba moves, here are some of the funniest Nash Vines to show you were this duo got started.

When He Spoke The Truth

I dare you to sing along to "Can't Feel My Face" without looking like a fool.

When He Knew Your True Feelings

Don't try to hide it.

When... Vanessa Carlton

It's just so good.

When His Friend Grabbed His Phone

Everyone knows this is a line you shouldn't cross.

When His Little Sis Stole The Show

Squeeee!

When He Couldn't Make A Decision

Anything with Ryan Gosling gets my vote.

When He Only Got One Chip

The pain of this is real.

When He Understood Us All

I like this technique. Might have to use it next time I am out in my house clothes and messy bun.

When The Lyrics Didn't Matter

It's all about the feeling and she had it all there.

I'm a little skeptical when it comes to "Internet famous" celebs, but I definitely lol more than a few times when watching Nash's videos. I guess the over 3,142,292,206(!!) loops on his Vine account prove more than a little something, huh?

Editor's note: In the past, Nash Grier has posted Vines that offended many people and were seen as racist, sexist, and homophobic. In July 2014, Grier apologized for a Vine he posted that included a homophobic slur. In addition, in December 2014, the now 17-year-old wrote an essay on Huffington Post explaining and apologizing for his past mistakes, saying in part, “From the bottom of my heart, I am truly sorry to each and every person I have ever offended.” Since that time, it seems that Grier has taken his apology seriously, changed his outlook, and not posted offensive videos. This post previously failed to mention Nash Grier’s past controversies.
