Hilary Duff Gets A Lob For Fall, Because The Popular Hairstyle Is Here To Stay — PHOTO
I was pretty sure the bob/lob club was officially closed, but according to People, Hilary Duff got a lob, proving it's here to stay. It seems we aren't going to get a new It hairstyle for fall, but I guess that's probably pretty darn good news for everyone who already chopped their hair off this year.
The Younger actress decided to freshen things up on Saturday ahead of the first week of fall by cutting a few inches off her hair. Duff showed off her new cut by snapping a selfie and sharing it with the Instagram world, and honestly, if she hadn't captioned it "chopped a few inches off" — I may not have even known she had anything done.
Upon closer inspection, you can see that Duff's blonde hair is a couple inches shorter, falling slightly below her shoulders. The most noticeable change are the ends — it's definitely more of a blunt cut, and it's highly textured for some edge and movement. It feels more fresh and modern, and it's probably my favorite cut of hers so far.
Hilary's cut is definitely a great solution for someone who wants to freshen up their hair without doing anything too drastic, like going for a full bob or getting heavy layers.
Chic and simple, and definitely a lot more subtle than her mermaid hair was.
Earlier this summer, she actually did have a bob. Perhaps she didn't like the super short length...
...because she grew it back out in favor of the long, layered look.
And even though we're used to seeing her with longer front pieces, once upon a time she did have bangs...
...but she probably wanted to shed that Lizzie McGuire image.
Personally, I think her new look is the best yet.
