An iconic Italian actress is celebrating her birthday by proving that beauty products can be a lifelong obsession. According to People, Sophia Loren teamed up with Dolce & Gabbana on a a lipstick shade named after her in honor of her latest birthday.
The Italian bombshell is known for her hourglass figure, brunette bouffant, and serious mastery of the cat eye. Honestly, I've never seen anyone else who had a more consistently perfect winged eyeliner look than Loren, so it's kind of not surprising she's teaming up with Dolce & Gabbana for her own makeup product. The designers announced the shade with a press release.
"Sophia Loren No. 1 is our way of saying, ‘Thank you, Sophia!,’" it says, according to People. "Thank you for her beauty, thank you for being a world favorite, thank you for being an icon of the big screen and of Italian beauty. She has been a constant source of inspiration for us and today we celebrate her with the gift of her very own lipstick."
The shade is a sheer cherry red and comes in a gold tube with Loren's signature.

In honor of the shade and the legendary actress' birthday, here are seven of her best lipstick looks.
1. Coral Lips & A Smoky Eye
This look from 1964 is classic Loren, and the coral-y peach shade highlights her enviable lips. Her strong brows and bold eye makeup complete the look.
2. Pink Cheeks & Lips
In 2012, Loren showed she was just as glamorous as ever with a pretty pink lipstick and matching blush.
3. Subtle Lips & Bright Hair
In 2001, Loren experimented with red hair, different than her signature dark look. She tends to stick to frostier lipsticks, and this light coral is a perfect example.
4. Classic Mod Nude Lips
Nothing is more '60s than nude lips and winged eyeliner, and Loren's shift dress and big hair complete the look. Considering this picture is from 1964, she fits the decade perfectly.
5. Modern Nude Lips
The actress proves she can still pull off a nude lip with ease. This looks like a repeat of that fabulous diamond choker, which is always a perfect accessory in my opinion.
6. Pink Lipstick & Sapphires
Loren's hair was shorter in this pic from 1964, but it drew attention to that gorgeous sapphire earring and necklace set she was wearing. The pink lipstick she chose added to the look without distracting.
7. Dark Pink & Major Pearls
Those earrings are gorge, but I'm drawn to Loren's darker pink lipstick. As you can see from the photos, she typically sticks to lighter colors. This one looks similar to her new Dolce & Gabbana shade, which has a few more red undertones.
Nothing says classic like Sophia Loren, and I for one and glad she's celebrating her birthdays as she ages with grace.
