Miss Piggy v. Chanel: Who Is The True Queen Bee?

by Caitlyn Callegari

A fictional power struggle is something that Scream Queens's Emma Roberts should be used to, what with the battle of witch wits (and blood) between her and Jessica Lange in American Horror Story: Coven. But, perhaps a tug of war with a muppet maven is not one she anticipated. According to Entertainment Weekly, The Muppets beat Scream Queens in the ratings. And, not by a little. By a lot. They said, "ABC’s modern-day revival of The Muppets delivered strong premiere numbers, while horror comedy Scream Queens was surprisingly soft. The Muppets had 8.9 million viewers and a 2.8 rating among adults 18-49 at 8 p.m., and the two-hour Scream Queens opener had only 4 million viewers and a 1.6 rating."

To be honest, I'm a little shocked by those numbers, considering it seemed like everyone who had a Twitter and fingers to tweet was very publicly freaking out about Scream Queens, but, I suppose you just never know. Don't get me wrong, I am so happy for Miss Piggy. She's really doing well for herself after her painful split from Kermit. But I just don't see Chanel Oberlin going down without a fight. After all, it was only the premiere of both shows. Things could change drastically over the next few weeks. Especially if these two lead powerhouses have anything to do with it.

So, ratings aside, let's hash it out. Which "Queen Bee" truly deserves the top spot?

Well, Chanel Is Fiercely Demanding

You'd better watch her show.

But, Then Again, So Is Miss Piggy

You'd better not not watch her show.

They Both Know How To Make An Entrance

This is a tie. A sure tie.

I Definitely Wouldn't Cross Either Of Them

In Miss Piggy's Defense, Her Meanness Is Decidedly Less Dastardly

So, I suppose, in this instance, for legality purposes, Miss Piggy is the "supreme."

But, Chanel Really Gets The Job Done

No matter the cost (of lives).

Whereas Miss Piggy Is Frequently Distracted

Though, who could blame her?

But, I Think We Can All Agree That Miss Piggy Handled Her Breakup Best

And, after all, keeping up appearances and PR is super important.

For now, I suppose Chanel will have to watch and learn from the professional diva in order to take her crown.
