Tory Burch's New Activewear Isn't Just For The Gym

by May Sofi

The athleisure trend is having a major moment in the spotlight right now, and it seems more and more designers are hopping on its bandwagon. Tory Burch just launched an activewear line, and the sporty styles are gorgeous enough to take you from the gym to the streets.

The athletic collection, titled Tory Sport, combines the brand's signature clean-cut, preppy aesthetic with comfortable and practical fabrics, making for a line that is all about comfort-meets-style. The full range includes clothing such as sports bras, leggings, and jackets, as well as accessories that include handbags, sneakers, and hats all available to shop by sport-type, like Tennis or Swim, for example.

According to Burch herself, the inspiration for the line was drawn from '70s fashion, saying, "Classic silhouettes from the '70s have always resonated with me." ABC 13 reports.

Burch goes on to say, "I was inspired by the movie The Royal Tennebaums so I started with that." She proceeded to explain, "But, really, about everything I love is from high school and college. So I wanted to be a bit retro '70s but modern." Houston Culture Map reports.

The retro '70s vibe is quite evident through the use of geometric designs, bold colors, and mod-like details. Take a look at some of the stunning pieces.
