Kerry Washington Has A Brand New Look

First came the lob, then the pixie, and now, a new celebrity hairstyle is taking over as it-trend of the moment. Kerry Washington debuted bangs in NYC on Thursday, and the fresh chop suits her beautifully. With the premiere of Scandal's fifth season on Thursday, and her stunning straight-off-the-runway Marc Jacobs look at the Emmys last week, there is no denying that Washington is on a roll. What better way to celebrate this streak of success then with a fresh new 'do?

The 38-year-old follows the example of a plethora of other celebs who have also hopped on the bangs bandwagon. Ciara has been rocking wispy bangs for a while now, as has The Dutchess of Cambridge. Laverne Cox and Taraji P. Henson both had short-lived stints with blunt bangs, and Sarah Jessica Parker just donned the hairdo on the cover of Harper's Bazaar, even if they were just clip-ins. Clearly, bangs are #trending for fall.

As for Washington, her spin on the popular look came in fringe form. She flaunted wispy feather-like bangs that framed her face perfectly. I know she sported bangs as Olivia Pope on the early seasons of Scandal, but never really IRL. Here's to hoping she sticks with the pretty style for a while.
