Taylor & Leona Slay In Over-The-Knee Boots

Two amazing pop stars were pretty much twinsies this weekend when they performed onstage together... at least when it came to their footwear. Singers Taylor Swift and Leona Lewis wore matching black boots while performing at Swift's 1989 tour in Nashville and guess what? The ladies slayed the fall 2015 over-the-knee boot trend.

Over-the-knee boots are super sexy, as well as a good investment for colder months when we're all in need of a creative way to warm up our legs other than boring old jeans. They're a super unique way to layer for fall and winter. OTK boots can often times seem a little bit intimidating since they're such a bold trend, but if you feel motivated to try out the look, you absolutely should. The OTK boot trend is for anyone and everyone.

Swift also invited Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger to join her onstage this weekend. The rocker's star power may have briefly eclipsed the fact that Swift also invited Lewis to share her stage, but I just can't stop thinking about the boots.

Swift wore her familiar (and bedazzled) white bra top and high-waisted shorts with over-the-knee black boots and garters, while Lewis went with an all-black ensemble. Her fitted black dress had high and closed neck. It also a keyhole bodice, which added a sexy, peek-a-boo effect.

If you want to try this trend (and you know you do), Stuart Weitzman's shoe customizer has a "Thigh's the Limit" option.

Yes, you can create either a flat-soled or a high-heeled boot. Sure, it's a commitment, since it's not cheap. But least you are in control of the design, right? That has to eliminate some of the fear. Also, the price will make you want to wear the boots you paid so handsomely for.

This is the Stuart Weitzman LeggyLady. I would wear this with skinny jeans or leggings. It adds instant sex appeal to a more casual, street style outfit.

This is AllLegs. Because of course it is. I'd have to wear this with a skirt or a dress. It's an exercise in supreme sexiness. You just have to go with it.

If you can't shell out almost a thousand bucks for custom boots, you have other, more affordable options that are as close as the local mall.

Aldo's flat-soled Roseanne boots have a moto yet feminine feel. The buckles and zippers are cute details, too. ($110, aldoshoes.com)

The Bove boot has a chunky heel and is very similar to Swift's version. ($200, aldoshoes.com)

Steve Madden's Gorgeous OTK boots are just that. If you want to show off your legs, here's how. ($150, stevemadden.com)

The designer's Willful boots are an OTK option with platform wedge heel! ($190, stevemadden.com)

Take inspo from Swift and Lewis and just go for it.
