Moschino x 'Powerpuff Girls' Is Actually Happening

Moschino rocked a construction site-themed fashion show last week. Jeremy Scott had incorporated late-'90s and early-'00s cartoon queens The Powerpuff Girls into the clothes in the form of a bodysuit, a cardigan, and a handbag. A full Moschino x Powerpuff Girls collaboration is actually happening, because cartoon couture is a thing. Nostalgia for the '90s and '00s is also a thing, therefore this partnership is as about as perfect as it gets, at least for me.

Upon first seeing the photos of The Powerpuff Girls pieces in the fashion show, I literally shrieked, since I loved the sassy cartoon characters during their heyday. I was left wondering, "What's next? Will there be more?"

The Powerpuff Girls were the original squad goals, kicking butt, taking names, and looking adorable while doing so. Take that, Taylor Swift and the "Bad Blood" cast!

I admit to still owning a stuffed Buttercup that I nabbed at the height of The Powerpuff Girls' fame. It's in my house; she sits on a chair, lording over things. I seriously dug her because of her Bettie Page bangs, her doe eyes, and her general badassness. She was my favorite of the power trio, but Bubbles and Blossom are pretty sweet and cute, too.

I certainly feel weak in the knees and drunk with nostalgia about this high fashion x cartoon collab. Here's everything we know.

1. Spring/Summer 2016

According to Racked, the Moschino x Powerpuff Girls merch is due out in January for the spring and summer 2016 seasons. The collection lines up with the reboot of the Cartoon Network TV series, which is slated for next year, as well. It's a Powerpuff resurgence. Rawr!

2. Tops, Skirts, Dresses, Accessories, Oh My

We caught a glimpse of this partnership via the runway show. The quilted, chain-wrapped strap is so high fashion, but it comes back down to earth with the (Powerpuff) girlish graphic.

Buttercup's head has been repurposed into a handbag. Also, the ladies were featured as the print pattern of an electric blue swimsuit that looked ripped out of the pages of a comic book.

But InStyle notes that the collection is expansive and will include knitted tops, skirts, dresses, swimwear, accessories, and more! It'll be a Powerpuff revolution in fashion.

3. Where To Buy The Collection?

The range will be available at Moschino stores, at department stores, and via select online outlets. It won't be cheap, but it will be covetable.

I totally think that Moschino model and muse Katy Perry could totally play Buttercup in a live-action Powerpuff Girls film.

There are two sides of Katy Perry.

There are two sides of Buttercup. The resemblance is uncanny right? That's why this whole collab is so cyclically perfect.
