Best Time Ever With Neil Patrick Harris got itself a hero on Tuesday night — no, not just host NPH. The show always has a great roster of guest stars and this week was no different. Heroes Reborn star Zachary Levi competed against NPH on Best Time Ever in a laser maze that looked like something out of Mission: Impossible. In a segment called "Neil Vs," Levi and NPH were given a mission and they chose to accept it: They were supposed to locate three targets as they moved through a laser-filled maze without touching any of the beams. Sure, it sounds easy, but it wasn't for NPH and Levi, who played a spy on the series Chuck and currently plays Luke Collins on Heroes Reborn.
Once they unlocked the first puzzle, both Levi and NPH were dropped into the maze and I'd like to point out that both were dressed in identical white shirts and skinny black ties — very spy chic. And as we saw, if they broke any of the laser beams, they got quite a zapping shock from them. Levi had a considerable lead, but soon NPH caught up and won the laser-filled challenge. Both admitted it definitely wasn't an easy mission, but hey, someone on NBC's gotta do it, right? The course was definitely hardcore.
On this week's episode, NPH parodied The Real Housewives franchise's reunion specials in a prank for an audience member with Bravo's Andy Cohen and Housewives star Bethanny Frankel. Former NBA basketball star Shaquille O’Neal served as the show's guest announcer, legendary singer Gloria Estefan led the weekly "Singalong Live" contest to a rousing version of "Conga," to which O'Neal added more cowbell.
The Blue Man Group rounded out the awesome star-studded week by performing during an unforgettable "End Of Show" show. With so much star power this time around, how will they top it next week? I can't wait to see.
