5 Morning Moments That Are Better With Coffee

In an attempt to become a morning person, I've been reading a lot of articles about how to overhaul my daily routine. The idea, it seems, is to add happy rituals to your mornings to make them a little less overwhelming, and a little more organized. Of course, there are inevitably some mornings when I'm running late, and I have no time for anything. But even on days when my routine has run off the rails, I will always make time for a cup of coffee. Whether I'm able to sip it while reading the news (like a real grown-up!) or frantically running out the door with my travel mug, it's my one constant.

And I'm not alone, especially if I'm to judge from the constant stream of "me and my coffee cup" selfies on my Instagram feed. Although they're common to the point of cliche, I actually love these snapshots because they give me a little peek into someone else's morning routine, whether it's a friend or a celebrity. So in partnership with Dunkin' Donuts At Home, we asked our readers to share their favorite morning moments with the hashtag #DDRiseAndShine, and we've rounded up a few to show you here.

Here are five morning moments that are best experienced with a cup of coffee. (Hint: It's all of them.)

When You're Shamelessly Trying To Instagram Your Breakfast

It's not hard to make this bowl of goodness look absolutely delicious, but you need your "A" game to take that perfect, shot-from-above, lit-from-the-heavens photograph.

When You Get That Monday Feeling

It's 9 a.m. on a Monday, and then... you decide that now is actually the perfect time to change your desktop background, assess the feng shui of your desk area, and make yourself an iced coffee. It's OK. We've all been there.

When You Open Your Work Email After A Vacation

Combing through 100 unread emails is a pretty scary moment, but we assure you that it’s going to be OK. Also, your vacation was totally worth it. Repeat after us: coffee makes everything better.

When It's So Early That Even Your Dog Is Like, 'Woof.'

Aka, when you convince yourself that you're just "resting your eyes" a bit before hauling yourself to work.

When You're Watching The Sun Rise From Your Window

Is there any better accompaniment to a sunrise than coffee? We think not.
