Lady Gaga Isn't Ready For Summer To End

by Kali Borovic

This American Horror Story: Hotel star has had a lot on her plate lately, but her style has gotten even better. Instead of hitting the town in meat dresses and ankle-breaking heels, Lady Gaga wore short shorts at the airport, providing her fans with an outfit that they can actually replicate. If you're thinking that you'll have to wait until next summer to rock this trend, think again.

Gaga strutted through the Big Apple airport in something that looked, well, normal. She surprised everyone with her black Emmys dress, and now she's doing the same with her street wear as well. Of course, the star always manages to pull off a look, no matter how normal or artistic it may be. But with this particular outfit, you won't need to go to a costume store to replicate it.

Rocking a Judas Priest baseball tee tucked into a pair of cheeky shorts, it was clear to see that Ma Monster isn't ready for summer to be over. While I can't exactly say this look was totally average (who wears four-inch peep toe heels at the airport?), it is pretty easy to copy. With a bold lip and straight, windblown locks, this look is awesome for any on-the-go casual fall occasion.

You might be thinking that shorts for fall is pretty bold, but it's actually simple to pull off. When it comes to nailing the trend, it's all about the fit, accessories, and styling. With a few cold-weather tricks, you'll be on your way to rocking the look with ease.

1. Go Dark

Swap out your classic denim shorts for a darker pair. Navy blue, olive green, and burgundy are the perfect autumn hues.

(Aerie Pleated Shorts, American Eagle, $26.99)

2. Thigh-High Boots

Channel your inner Jenner by pairing thigh-high boots with your short shorts. It's the perfect way to make a fall statement while covering up at the same time.

(Bedelia Thigh-High Boots, Nasty Gal, $185)

3. Layer Your Look

Adding a pair of tights under your shorts will help you stay warm.

(Dotted Mesh Tights, Forever21, $7.90)

4. High-Waisted Fit

High-waisted shorts are always in, no matter the season. The style is easy to pair with all of your favorite fall styles.

(Pom Pom Trim Shorts, ASOS Curve, $29)

5. Add A Sweater

Sweaters have this magical way of making any outfit appropriate for lower temps. Slip a long cardigan over your shorts and call it an outfit!

(Directional Rib Cardigan, Free People, $148)

6. Get Comfy

Not into tights? No worries. Try a pair of thigh-high socks to transform a summer look.

(Over-The-Knee Sock, Urban Outfitters, $14)

7. Tuck It In

Choose a thick sweater and tuck a small corner into your shorts. The oversized look will keep you comfy all day long.

(Ribbed Sweater, TopShop, $68)

Now you won't ever have to put your shorts away! Well, at least until it's subzero.
