You Need These 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Bitmojis

by Jennifer Still

When Curb Your Enthusiasm premiered on HBO back in 2000, I immediately fell in love. I was a big Seinfeld fan — but then again, who wasn't? — so a sitcom loosely based on creator Larry David's life and starring the man himself was right up my alley. Thankfully, it didn't disappoint, but I'll admit it wasn't everyone's cup of tea. You can either handle David's brand of awkward humor or you can't; I can, and in fact I thrive on it, so CYE was a dream come true. While it's been off the air and on indefinite hiatus since 2011, I certainly haven't forgotten about it and thankfully, neither have the folks at Bitmoji. In what's probably the best collaboration ever, Bitmoji has released a Larry David themed pack for the app just in time for the show's 15th anniversary.

The pack is released in conjunction with HBO's celebration of its best comedy programming, and Curb Your Enthusiasm is certainly up there on the list. The animated version of Larry David lets you make Bitstrips actually of the character himself, as is, or you can take his bald head and glasses and put it on the character you've made of yourself, which is potentially extra hilarious. Either way, it sounds excellent.

As Bitstrips CEO Jacob Blackstock said in a statement, "We all love many things about Larry David and Curb Your Enthusiasm, but at Bitmoji, we really appreciate how Larry found a way to speak his own language and still have friends in the process. Many fans have expressed how much they enjoy Larry’s very specific way with words, and now they have chance to bring some Larry David-isms to every day conversations. We’re grateful to Larry and HBO for this fun collaboration."

Whether you're already a user of Bitstrips and/or Bitmoji or not, I'd say the release of a Larry David pack is enough of a reason to get to it. Oh, and I think it goes without saying that if you haven't already watched Curb Your Enthusiasm, you need to do that, too. The entire series is available to stream on HBO Now and it's well worth your time.
