Lopez walked the red carpet at the movie premiere in New York City on Monday wearing a slightly uncharacteristic outfit — accessories included. Though we're more used to seeing her showing off those legs in mini dresses, J.Lo instead opted for a crop top turtleneck, black skinnies, and classic pumps, topped off with a giant, oversized houndstooth coat, which I've decided is beyond chic and I now need in my fall closet.
But the best, and most unexpected, part of her outfit was undoubtedly her black cat-eye spectacles. Lopez doesn't step out wearing glasses on the regs, so the look might catch you off guard for a sec — and bonus, she didn't just wear any old pair. The singer went for some seriously stylish frames. It's sophisticated, but still fierce, and plenty mysterious. I'm definitely digging this new look on her, and personally think the specs should make an appearance way more often.
If this is a new style-era for her, I'm all on board with it.
That coat, though!
