Gwen Stefani's Newest Iron in the Fashion Fire

As if you had even a shred of doubt left, Gwen Stefani continues to prove she is a creative powerhouse. In her newest project, Stefani collaborated with denim guru Michael Glasser to create jeans line DWP (Design With Purpose), a clothing venture that's different than L.A.M.B or Harajuku Lovers, but still evokes signature Stefani style. Stefani described the new line to WWD as being "all about everyday wear," a definite departure from her fashion endeavors of the past.

Glasser, the man behind 7 For All Mankind and Citizens of Humanity, told WWD that the goal of the new line is to "take the pressure off denim," which has hasn't been as successful for stores over the past few years. Even though denim in particular is foreign fashion territory for Stefani, she and Glasser paired well to create a line that is edgy, yet practical.

The 18-piece collection features pieces like motorcycle vests and high-low tank tops, but its focus is a slouchy, tapered pant. The balance of versatility and rocker-chic is appears a result of a successful collaboration between the designers.

Surprisingly affordable, prices for items in the collection range from $80 to $130. DWP is set to hit stores in spring 2014, with Glasser projecting $5 to $8 million in profits for 2014.
