It's like 2010 all over again for one of America's sweethearts! Actress Sandra Bullock wore a black and white J. Mendel dress with a keyhole bodice to the premiere of her buzzing film Our Brand Is Crisis. So, why does it feel like Bullock is repeating her past? Well, a mere five years ago, Bullock was killing it professionally and with her red carpet ensembles.
She was nabbing awards left and right for The Blind Side and each awards season dress was better than the next, culminating in her champagne-hued and beaded Marchesa Oscar gown. Sure, her marriage to Jesse James crumbled after her big Academy Award win, but even with that drama, Bullock continued to survive and soar.
Fast-forward to 2015 and Bullock is once again the subject of Oscar rumblings for her role in this particular film. Also, at 51, Bullock, who is mom to young son Louis, is still slaying with her fashion choices. She owned it in a metallic print mini at the Minions premiere this summer, too.
The actress' sleeveless J. Mendel dress had a bit of "a summery maxi" vibe, due to its flow and its length. But it was super sexy, thanks to the cutouts.
There was a peek-a-boo hint of skin in the front and on the sides. But those weren't super obvious, since the dress had a bold, black and white print.
You can see the side cutouts here.
She played peek-a-boo without really showing any front sideboob, too.
The dress had lots of little secrets. See, it also showed a bit of leg and was a bit sheer at the bottom.
This J. Mendel frock looked different from each angle. It felt more gown-like, with a longer back, from this vantage point.
Her loose updo was another excellent element of the overall presentation. It allowed her to show off the halter neck of the dress and her shapely shoulders.
Bullock remains an inspo to us all. She always looks so lovely and confident, especially at the Our Brand Is Crisis premiere.
