Get These Star Wars Makeup Looks

by Jillian Ruffo

When it comes to limited-edition beauty products, I’m a total nerd. I’m not sure if it’s the fact that the shades are usually to-die-for, that everyone is swooning over them, or the looming terror that I may never be able to purchase them again, save for a lucky eBay find. Which is why when COVERGIRL released their long-awaited Star Wars collection, I knew it was the next must-have set for my arsenal.

Now, this isn’t just because the first time I laid eyes on Pat McGrath’s Droid and Stormtrooper looks for COVERGIRL, my heart stopped. (OK, maybe it is.) But as everyone began purchasing their tickets to The Force Awakens, I wanted in on the magic. I needed the makeup and a way to channel the looks on my own.

So in the hopes of achieving beauty greatness, we teamed up with COVERGIRL to bring you Star Wars-inspired looks that you can totally create and wear on any night out. Whether you're channeling your light side or your dark Ssde, you need to know how to rock gold lipstick IRL.

Step 1: Gather Your Materials

Step 2: Create A Base

Using a highly pigmented gold eyeshadow, create a gilded base on your entire eyelid. Then, using a smudging brush, buff deep brown in a V-shape around your eyes, from your top lash line to the bottom. (We used COVERGIRL Eye Shadow Quad in Go For The Golds.)

Step 3: Line Your Eyes

Take the outer corners to the next level by smudging a dark brown eyeliner in a v-shape around the outer corners of your eye. Use the same buffing brush to smudge it out, creating a smoky look.

Step 4: Add Shine

Frosty lips are here to stay. Apply COVERGIRL STAR WARS Limited Edition Colorlicious Lipstick in Nude as the bottom layer and a dab of Gold in the middle of your top and bottom lips, which adds the most amazing C-3PO gold glow. Bonus: swipe it along your cheekbones to give your skin a luminous effect.

To accent your look, apply two coats of COVERGIRL'S STAR WARS Limited Edition Outlast Nail Polish in Mutant, and then use a thin brush to apply gold accents.

Step 1: Gather Your Materials

Step 2: Prime Your Eyes

Apply a silvery-white cream shadow as a primer all over your lids to create a base for your eyeliner.

Step 3: Get Graphic

Using a super-pointy liquid liner pen, draw your usual bold cat eye from the inner corners of your eyes, adding a major wing at the ends. Then, starting from the inner corner of your bottom lash line, trace your bottom lid and extend that wing parallel to the top one, leaving a space in between.

Step 4: Add A Bold Lip

Your vampy look isn't done yet! Swipe COVERGIRL's STAR WARS Limited Edition Colorlicious Lipstick in Dark Purple on your lips, adding extra layers for your desired darkness.

Step 5: Lash Out

Finish off the look with big, bold lashes, using COVERGIRL STAR WARS Limited Edition Super Sizer - The Dark Side Mascara

And don't forget your nails! A diagonal look in a deep shade, like COVERGIRL'S STAR WARS Limited Edition Out Last Nail Polish In Nemesis, will pull your look together.
