Steal Alexa Chung's Superlative Style

by Rosie Narasaki

Looks like trendsetter Alexa Chung has done it again with the trendsetting: The TV personality/model/Villoid CEO may have just worn the definitive look of the fall at a Hearst event earlier this week. Appearing alongside fashion editors like Glanda Bailey and Laura Brown of Harper's Bazaar and stars like Drew Barrymore, Chung totally stole the show with her low-key yet dressed-up ensemble.

If Chung is the queen of shabby chic, then this is definitively the epitome of her signature style: She made quite the statement with a silver pleated midi skirt, which she paired with a gaminesque oversized sweater in pale blue. The overall effect was pretty darn charming; the flash and panache of the metallic skirt blending perfectly with the coziness of the knit.

Now, if the outfit in question looks a bit familiar, it's likely because Chung wore a similarly fabulous ensemble at a party honoring Gucci's Alessandro Michele last month— though that time she wore a rainbow striped sweater atop a gold pleated skirt, as opposed to the baby blue sweater paired with a silver skirt she wore this time around. At any rate, both looks are completely covetable — and copy-able — for autumn, so let's take a look at her latest:
